At the forefront of data-driven decision-making, our innovative company is looking to onboard a talented Data Engineer, specialized in Databricks and cloud technologies. In this role, you’ll enhance our supply chain, finance, and procurement processes by transitioning on-premises data warehouses to cloud environments like Databricks and BigQuery, providing visionary solutions and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark, ensuring they meet our strategic business needs.
  • Automate processes to improve efficiency and support the implementation of new technologies across Bayer.
  • Create tools for detailed analytics that inform significant business decisions.
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies, focusing on market trends to keep Bayer at the innovation forefront.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making and ensure compliance with IT guidelines.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business functions, easing the implementation of cross-functional tools.

Required Competences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Proven expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Java, alongside building scalable ETL pipelines in AWS.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics, with a minimum of 2 years as a Data Engineer.
  • Experience in cloud platforms, migration processes, and project management.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse, multinational environment.
