Data Engineer
Job Description
The function of a Data Engineer is to collaborate with senior data engineers in developing and maintaining applications that manage the transfer of data into the Dun and Bradstreet Contact Pipeline. They will focus on examining the performance/throughput restrictions of the applications and will cooperate with the other team members in eradicating bottlenecks in the applications. The Data Engineer will also be involved in formulating metrics from the data ingestion applications to identify areas requiring performance or throughput adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python applications.
- Assume control of existing applications for further development/improvements.
- Sustain close collaborations with related teams to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct analysis on codebases to enhance performance.
- Collaborate as a team member to review and test changes in others' code.
- Participate as a member of one or more agile teams, applying lean principles and implementing the SCRUM methodology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a similar field)
- Python application development experience (2-5 years)
- SQL data analysis and querying experience (2-5 years)
- Ability to work autonomously to deliver critical projects on time
- Ability to closely collaborate with others to troubleshoot
- Experience with hosted environments, AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers is preferred.
