Meta is seeking a driven Data Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team in London, supporting product launches and roadmap development with pivotal data insights and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Vision and Strategy: Lead the vision for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing within your product vertical. Strategically plan and execute on initiatives to realize this vision.

Operational Excellence: Establish optimized processes to achieve peak operational performance in areas including project management and system reliability.

Team Leadership: Build and scale a top-tier BI and Data Warehousing team. Foster cross-functional collaborations with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to meet data needs effectively.

Data System Management: Oversee the design and deployment of innovative data models and pipelines in a production environment. Champion data quality and manage comprehensive data warehouse strategies.

Impact Delivery: Develop impactful dashboards and visualizations. Define and oversee service level agreements (SLAs) for all data processes and datasets in production operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have :

• At least 8 years of experience in BI and Data Warehousing.
• Proven experience in scaling and managing teams (minimum three personnel).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a knack for initiating and driving projects.
• Substantial project management and data architecture expertise.
• Proficiency in SQL or similar programming languages.
• Experience with development in an object-oriented language such as Python or Java.
• A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants with the following will have an edge:

• Experience in a consumer web or mobile company environment.
• Familiarity with large data sets, Hadoop, and advanced data visualization tools.
• An advanced degree in a related field.
