Location: Bangalore

Essential Functions:

• Explore relevant data sources and generate business insights to support the venture ecosystem.
• Build, design, and develop robust data models and analytical tools/solutions.
• Document data transformation logic for other analysts to utilize.
• Develop scalable processes for periodic data transformations.
• Collaborate with fellow data scientists and business analysts to ensure seamless use of transformed data.
• Apply best practices to maintain data quality and reconciliation checks.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in writing and understanding complex SAS codes, including SAS macros, procedures, and functions.
• Experience with data mining tools such as SAS/Anaconda.
• Knowledge of SAS Viya is an advantage.
• Adept at transforming business specifications into detailed SAS processes.
• Understanding of UNIX scripts and basic statistical analytics.
• Experience in developing and improving SAS scripts, macros, and procedures.
• Effective documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with BI methodologies and practices.
• Experience in systems integration and data governance frameworks.
• Background in data management within the banking/finance industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in ETL and data modeling tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to self-manage and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Flexible in managing a variety of projects.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Operational Research.
• Working knowledge of Tableau is a plus.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in analytics and/or business intelligence.
