Role Overview:

Utilize your professional skills as a Data Scientist at Copeland, where you'll engage with complex business and engineering challenges. Your contributions will focus on machine learning, econometrics, and operations research to develop advanced product forecasting and data-driven efficiency improvement services. You’ll deliver tangible results that not only improve our internal processes but also enhance customer engagement globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement advanced solutions to solve complex challenges in business and engineering.
  • Discover opportunities for system and process enhancements through rigorous data analysis and automation.
  • Produce influential reports for strategic decision-making using state-of-the-art data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance cloud and edge computing applications for greater efficiency and innovation.
  • Translate complex analytical techniques into actionable, easy-to-understand business solutions.

Who You Should Be:

An ideal candidate is solution-oriented, keenly analytical, and excels in a collaborative environment. Your ability to engage constructively in complex problem-solving and your proficiency in Python or similar programming languages will be crucial. You should have a strong foundation in data integrity verification, robust statistics, and machine learning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative fields.
  • Demonstrable experience in data modeling, wrangling, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python, Git, and ETL techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills including knowledge in forecasting and time series analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in relevant fields.
  • Experience in Docker, Azure DevOps, Agile methodologies, and SQL.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Flexible Work Schedule:

This role offers the option to work remotely up to three days a week, with core hours between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. We are committed to facilitating a creative and productive work environment through flexible scheduling.
