Key Responsibilities

  • Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
  • Develop and uphold comprehensive data governance policies and standards to enhance data reliability and accuracy.
  • Implement and monitor data quality standards and metrics across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify data ownership and stewardship processes.
  • Design data classification schemes and enforce robust security measures and access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with critical data regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
  • Conduct assessments to pinpoint gaps in data governance, developing strategic action plans for improvement.
  • Partner with firmwide Data Governance teams to synchronize best practices and standards across the organization.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, you should have:

  • Formal training or certification in data governance, data management, or a related field, alongside over 10 years of applied experience and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • A profound understanding of data governance principles and practical frameworks, with experience implementing related tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing cross-functional technology teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving prowess, adept at mitigating risks associated with data governance and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
