Position Overview: Financial Data Scientist - Stock Intelligence

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Financial Data Scientist to join our dynamic Stock Intelligence team. This team is dedicated to delivering unparalleled data insights about publicly traded companies to the world's leading hedge funds and financial institutions.

Why You Are Essential

Your role involves utilizing our proprietary data along with AI and machine learning to develop models that predict and illuminate digital signals relevant to the financial performance of these companies. As a crucial part of our R&D department, you will not only innovate but also directly enhance our product's impact on the financial sector.

What Will Your Day Look Like?

• Developing models using proprietary data to analyse digital signals relevant to public companies.
• Exploring new data sources and integrating them to enhance our forecasting models.
• Collaborating with data engineers to streamline features and model deployment.
• Conducting rigorous analysis to extract actionable insights, informing strategic decisions across the financial landscape.
• Constantly updating your skill set to stay ahead in a fast-paced industry.

Who You Are

We believe great candidates often qualify in different ways. For this role, you’ll ideally have a blend of the following:

• A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or another relevant field.
• Proven background in FinTech/Economics.
• Experience in financial predictive modeling, backtesting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and other statistical or machine learning tools.
• Familiarity with SQL and data structure concepts.
• An M.Sc. in a related field is an added advantage.
