Position Overview:

The Fraud Data Analyst role involves partnering with various team sectors such as Risk Infrastructure, Fraud Policy, Product, and Engineering to drive advancements in our fraud prevention frameworks. A significant part of the position includes assessing third-party vendors, analyzing large datasets for fraud identification, continual monitoring of fraud patterns, and enhancing fraud management protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to pinpoint fraudulent activities and trends.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau, providing critical insights and trends to management.
  • Assess and accelerate fraud prevention capabilities using third-party fraud vendors.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve fraud prevention measures.
  • Create models to optimize costs associated with fraud prevention vendors.
  • Possibility to work remotely as telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements:

Prospective candidates should hold a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with at least two (2) years of relevant experience. Required skills include:

  • SQL, Python, Snowflake, R, AWS, MongoDB
  • Hadoop, Spark, Airflow/ETL, and other data analysis tools focused on risk management and fraud prevention.
  • Proven experience working with large datasets and an understanding of data relationships and relational databases.
  • Experience in creating metrics and dashboard visualizations, particularly in Tableau.

Compensation and Benefits:

SoFi offers a competitive salary range of $128,606 to $147,896 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Our extensive benefits package can be viewed on our official Benefits at SoFi page.
