In the context of a large multinational food and beverage company's digital transformation, we are looking for a Data Scientist with quantitative training in areas such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computing, Engineering, or Economics to solve major challenges using statistical models, machine learning, and to solve our clients' problems by applying the scientific method to test and validate business hypotheses. This person will work with structured and/or unstructured data (documents, images, videos) and employ multivariate techniques, predictive models and exploratory analysis.

Your mission:

Identify business opportunities and propose data-based solutions.
Explore large volumes of data without a specific problem defined, in order to ask the right questions and provide insightful findings;
Propose, implement, and validate Machine Learning models for various purposes, such as customer segmentation, product recommendation, customer retargeting, customer recurrence modeling and next-best action, product assortment optimization, among others;
Create data visualizations to explain your analysis and conclusions to a non-technical audience, as well as contextualize the story (data storytelling);
Focus on experimentation and generating value for the end customer;
Seek to generate business impact through the use of data;

You must be experienced in:

Programming, data manipulation and modeling in Python, R or SQL;
Machine Learning and Data Mining;
Exploratory Data Analysis: creating data-based narratives to present the results of analyses, train and evaluate predictive models;
Business acumen and a consultative approach to identify and analyze problems, define and test hypotheses;
Data engineering, , Big Data tools (such as Spark), Data Science in Cloud Data Viz (Power Bi or Tableau).(preferred);
Causal Inference (preferred);
Projects related to analytical marketing, CRM, operations and finance (preferred).
