Position: Lead Software Engineer - AI Enablement
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer, AI Enablement to join our AI Platform Acceleration team. This team focuses on AI democratization through apps and services, enabling growth by embedding AI capabilities across our business. The talented team members will train and deploy foundational models, establish an AI platform, and engage third-party vendors for speed, scale, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the vision, goals, and priorities, working alongside the team to achieve them, ensuring high-quality technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, including proofs of concepts, sizing, designs, implementation, and testing.
- Drive continuous improvement by delivering industry-leading solutions while adhering to best practices.
- Design and implement effective prompts to guide AI responses within specific parameters.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of AI responses, identifying areas for improvement and iterating on prompt designs.
- Document prompt design processes and results for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain tooling frameworks to establish best practices for effective prompting in AI-powered solutions.
- Lead the technical vision and strategy for prompt engineering, ensuring innovative and efficient approaches to AI applications.
- Support a culture of learning and development to promote technical skills development.
- Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to derive technical requirements from business needs and identify risk areas.
- Assist in recruitment and resource planning, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies and support cross-functional alignment in strategy, methodology, and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field with relevant certifications in technology and/or project management.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/cloud and/or software development.
- 5+ years of experience with advanced algorithms, programming languages, or technologies.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing solutions, technologies, and trends.
- Hands-on experience in delivering and supporting cloud services in a hybrid or multi-cloud setup using major providers like AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Experience with modern software development concepts like CI/CD, service-oriented architecture, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
- Understanding of machine learning and AI principles and development processes.
- Strong experience leading and operating in a lean, agile environment with distributed teams.
- Excellent communication skills, especially on technical topics.
- Ability to learn new technologies independently and willingness to use unfamiliar tools.
- High level of independence with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Success in collaborating across technology and governance roles to improve processes and support business strategies.
Desired Characteristics & Technical Skills:
- Experience with Azure, Azure AI Studio, GCP, Vertex AI.
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps patterns and solutions.
- Experience with Databricks, ML Flow.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness or related tools.
