About the Role

As an ML Engineer at CTI, you'll take the lead on integrating sophisticated deep learning architectures – including deep-neural networks, recurrent-neural networks, and convolutional-neural networks – into our existing and future systems. With projects aimed at enhancing warfighter strategies, your work will be crucial in delivering innovative solutions that safeguard our military personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Collaborating closely with development teams to convert mission-critical needs into technical specifications.
  • Exploring cutting-edge technologies to ensure CTI offers the most advanced and efficient solutions possible.
  • Leading algorithm selection to add significant new capabilities to our operational stack, fulfilling critical operational gaps.
  • Developing and managing ML models using programming languages such as Python, C, and Rust across various data pipelines.
  • Architecting and implementing robust ML pipelines to enhance the deployment of real-time models across edge compute frameworks.
  • Conducting rigorous peer code reviews, maintaining high standards in software development and model training.

Essential Skills and Experience

We are looking for ML Engineers who bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in ML Engineering or Data Science, with proficient coding skills in Python, C/C++, Rust, or Kotlin.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math/Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability using tools such as JupyterLab, TensorFlow, MLflow, PyTorch, and MATLAB.
  • Solid experience in MLOps, leading ML model design, deployment, and optimization in production environments.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix and command-line tools, especially for managing distributed systems.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

Additional qualifications that will make a candidate stand out:

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Leadership prowess, capable of overseeing projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Expertise in signal processing using 3GPP RF technologies, and familiarity with data science libraries like Pandas and Numpy.
