Job Description

The Market Consumer Intelligence (MCI) team delivers business and market intelligence, insights, forecasting, and competitiveness, developing actionable recommendations to enhance customer value, accomplish business objectives, and steer business decisions across the whole LVMH Beauty Division.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker oriented towards data, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience in manipulating/coding/automating data to reveal insights and stimulate action. They should also be able to summarise information, communicate clearly, and ensure that behavioural analytics and insights are ingrained in decision-making. Familiarity with retail is advantageous.

This team was assembled a year ago and is in startup-mode. Currently, some processes are manual and necessitate hands-on data operations and organisation when working across multiple brands, consolidating the data to create a single Division view.

The candidate MUST have a high proficiency in advanced Excel using complex formulas/automations.

Experience with R/SQL/Python/other technical equivalents is a bonus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Building a data warehouse/database from various data sources; cleaning, merging, automating, and ensuring the quality of data, manual manipulation of files in Excel
  • Predictive modelling: Implementation, analysis, and identification of trends within the predictive model across the LVMH Beauty Division, KPIs, and operational aspects that stimulate action and change.
  • Cooperating with IT/technology teams on data, automation, and reporting needs to develop data/analysis and reporting capabilities. Ensuring data quality. Conducting data analytics using tools/software and other business intelligence (BI) tools to access data and provide insights into customers that shape and support actionable cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Supplying retail, digital, merchandising, and marketing teams with consumer information and analytics that offer significant, actionable, data-driven growth opportunities for consumer-centric growth across product categories, channels, and customer segments.
  • Ability to self-service, consolidate and combine data into a single view that is digestible by leaders and teams.
  • Responsible for distilling profound insights from complex analyzes and delivering impactful presentations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics/Quantitative, and Economics; MBA optional
  • 3-5 years of experience – Retail/Classic CPG/beauty experience/consultant is preferred.
  • Robust analytical skills and strategic thinking with the capacity to solve problems and develop inventive solutions in complex settings
  • Ability to amalgamate multiple data inputs, be comfortable with large data sets, and synthesise them into comprehensible and actionable insights. Not apprehensive about immersing in data.
  • Strong inclination for data and digital innovation. Essential.
  • Comfort with traditional market and consumer research sources (Nielsen, Circana, GNPD, Ipsos, Euromonitor, Mintel, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills equipped with innovative thinking and a proactive approach
  • Entrepreneurial startup mentality, not hesitant to try new things, agile, independent, and self-driven.
  • Well-organised and time-efficient, with a robust ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt.

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to offer our employees market-competitive compensation, while allowing flexibility to acknowledge and reward varying levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $120,000.00 - $125,000.00.
