This pivotal role involves driving MLOps excellence, developing innovative cloud infrastructure, and steering our efforts in creating cutting-edge Generative AI platforms.

What You'll Do

As a key player in our team, you will:

• Define and enhance the engineering strategies for ML advancements.
• Investigate and utilize breakthrough technologies tailored to ML projects.
• Design agile ML systems with enhanced observability.
• Provide insightful ML guidance to Workiva's leadership and stakeholders.
• Champion the adoption of novel ML technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor and lead junior ML engineers and scientists, establishing high team standards.
• Facilitate seamless ML integration into our products via APIs.
• Oversee the evolution of our ML infrastructure.
• Manage development timelines and product team interdependencies to ensure swift project execution.
• Implement and monitor ML models, ensuring optimal performance.
• Create targeted automated tests for ML applications.
• Resolve complex technical issues across various service and application contexts.
• Support and guide the resolution of production issues.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain engagement with stakeholders to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Communicate intricate technical details effectively to a diverse audience.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in ML engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading ML teams.
• Deep knowledge in MLOps, ML solutions architecture, and the ML development lifecycle.
• Expertise in Generative AI and model integration.
• Proficiency in Python, GO, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Agile development environments.
