About This Role

As a Research Scientist Intern in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. This internship will allow you to apply your knowledge in computational photography, machine learning, computer graphics, and more directly impacting Meta's innovative product lineup.

Internship Duration and Start Dates

Our internships span twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks, with multiple start dates throughout the year to accommodate your educational schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced technologies in computer vision, machine learning, computational photography, and computer graphics.
  • Contribute to academic research and implement your findings in Meta products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently obtaining (or already holding) a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience in image understanding, depth estimation, or scene rendering.
  • Demonstrated results through co-authored publications in notable conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, and others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across groups and cultures.
  • Eligibility to work in the country of employment throughout the internship period.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intent to return to your degree program after completing the internship.
  • A robust interest in both theoretical and empirical research.
  • Ability to articulate complex research outcomes in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Record of significant results, preferably as the first author in top-tier conferences.

Compensation and Benefits

The internship offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from $7,313 to $11,333, commensurate with your skills and experience. In addition to the base salary, Meta provides a comprehensive benefits package.
