The Department of Revenue is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Tax Enforcement Unit.

Job Description

This multidisciplinary role involves assisting with revenue collection and reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for researching, data collection, and performing statistical analysis to monitor tax and revenue collection trends and aiding collection operations. Additional analysis of collection programs and initiatives will also be conducted, to determine their effectiveness, efficiency, and results. The employee will interface with multiple managers and/or other senior staff within the Collections Division, as well as other groups within Revenue and other City agencies. The employee will report directly to the Deputy Revenue Commissioner. Essential Functions Design, construct, and lead research and information system projects. Handle evaluation and analysis of data, prepare reports, and make recommendations. Collaborate with department representatives, review data collection methods. Design, modify, and monitor systems and programs based on needs. Analyze department database, identify gaps, assist in designing new files. Conduct comparative research on revenue data. Perform related work as required. Work Schedule

Working hours are generally 37.5 hours per week. Our team offers a mix of remote and in-office working arrangements, with an option to work in the office full time.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with four years of relevant experience in data analysis using data warehousing systems, trend identification, and assisting management with decision-making based on data analysis.
