Job Purpose and Impact:

The Senior Data Analyst & Modelist at Cargill will harness vast amounts of data to generate insights that foster enhanced decision-making across the company. This role involves strategic partnership with internal teams, effective data management, and innovative analysis techniques to drive business outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the identification of business needs, gathering and analyzing requirements to define project scope and objectives.
• Explore and prepare new data sources to support robust reporting and analytical efforts.
• Conduct complex data modeling and optimize data in databases for efficient analysis using various analytics tools.
• Create insightful reports to identify trends and interpret complex data sets to discover new opportunities and values.
• Collaborate with process and operational leaders to pinpoint critical improvement areas and monitor the impact of strategic initiatives.
• Mentor team members, advocate for best practices in data handling, and continuously seek out new methodologies.
• Provide expertise and technical solutions to help deep dive into business challenges.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least four years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in programming languages or business intelligence tools.
• Proven ability to query relational databases and experience working with extensive data stores.
• Knowledge in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Oracle, SQL, etc.
• Experience with Source to Target mapping and documenting functional requirements.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and data modeling techniques.
