Senior Data Analytics Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Analytics Engineer who will collaborate across teams. Our software and intelligence are essential to having the most advanced beverage machine on the market and a first mover advantage. Our sensors deliver a wealth of data on machine performance. Your task will be to analyze and use this data to make data-driven improvements to our algorithms that optimize the machine. This role will go beyond a traditional data analyst role. It will include developmental work that requires an understanding and modification of the algorithms underlying the data. We utilize the latest technology, developing in Kotlin and Java using Android, React, CircleCI and more. Our data is stored in Snowflake, Postgres, InfluxDB. Responsibilities: - Analyze time series and fleet data to make data-driven changes to our algorithms that improve the overall workings of the Bevi - Design, implement, test and launch production code. - Collaborate with product management, business intelligence, and software and hardware engineers to ensure the team's solutions maximize value. - Provide creative problem-solving skills, suggesting alternative solutions and compromises to drive success. - Display the ability to present data visually and verbally in a compelling way to tell a story. - Be flexible and practical in an environment with various activities in progress. - Elevate the data capabilities of the team by introducing new tools and techniques to our data platform and promoting data-driven decision-making. Requirements: - A minimum of 2 years experience in a data analytics or related role. - Intermediate programming skills (Kotlin, Python). - Strong understanding of statistics. - Proficient knowledge of SQL and databases, such as Snowflake. - Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks, dataframes, plotting tools. - Experience with business intelligence tools like Looker. - Past experience with writing production-level code is strongly preferred. - Strong technical understanding and ability to capture and communicate details. - An agile mindset to excel in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action.
