About the Job:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll join a team focused on refining and expanding our product offerings. This role requires active participation in all design, delivery, and support phases, enhancing product features, and emphasizing technical quality as our product evolves. You'll collaborate extensively with KBRA’s engineering, design, product, and platform teams to build and support robust system architectures that address unique domain challenges and deliver value to our customers.

To be Successful in this Role, You Should:

  • Engage in collaborative work practices.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to transparently manage workflow.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship over the codebase.
  • Be keen on mentoring other developers and sharing knowledge on emerging technologies.

Technical Must Haves:

  • Proven experience with Python in a data engineering context.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MongoDB, and utilizing MongoDB Atlas search.
  • Hands-on experience with Pandas or Polars, PyMongo, and Dash.
  • Expertise in developing REST APIs using Python frameworks like Flask.
  • Ability to build efficient data pipelines and work with orchestration systems such as Prefect and Airflow.
  • Experience in running services in containerized environments like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS services like S3, EKS, and SQS.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience writing CI/CD YAML files, monitoring with DataDog and Opsgenie, and working with Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary for this full-time role ranges from $115,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and location.
