The Role

We're seeking a Senior Data Scientist (Analytics) to harness powerful insights that will propel our OmniCommerce initiatives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Grab, including Product, Engineering, Business, Operations, and Marketing, to spearhead breakthrough enhancements with a data-first approach. As a crucial member of the Analytics team, your strategic mindset and analytical prowess will significantly influence the direction and success of our regional projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Analytics: Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to generate insights, design experiments, and influence pivotal product decisions.
  • Strategic & Business Analytics: Use analytic tools to support strategic initiatives and deep dives into customer behavior, product impact, and more.

You Will:

  • Work alongside stakeholders to define business needs and desired outcomes.
  • Offer tailored analytics for specific products and operational strategies, continuously refining business metrics and advancing recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Design and execute experimentation frameworks, analyzing the results to guide future innovations.
  • Construct and maintain data pipelines and custom data models, addressing business challenges through robust data science solutions.
  • Utilize A/B testing to validate hypotheses and refine initiatives based on analytical insights.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Over 5 years of experience in data-related or quantitative analysis, preferably in B2C contexts like OmniCommerce, ECommerce, Retail Marketing, Banking, or Loyalty Programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar scripting languages.
  • Strong capability in data visualization and crafting insightful stories through tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Experience in handling large datasets and complex ETL processes.
  • Solid foundational knowledge in statistics, capable of designing and interpreting controlled experiments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, hypothesize effectively, and propose viable solutions.
