About the Role
Join the CACI team as we expand our software development contract with the Department of State in Rosslyn, VA. We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support complex and scalable data analytic services and data lake projects. These efforts provide critical business intelligence, analysis, and dashboard reporting to our customer’s mission. You will work closely with stakeholders to leverage data and drive business value, while ensuring efficiency and optimization through data mining and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:
- Develop and deploy data pipelines and platforms that render data meaningful.
- Support Chief Data Officer’s methodologies to leverage data and analytical models for business value.
- Present recommendations on data handling and parsing technologies to management.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.
Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Key Qualifications:
- Active secret clearance is required.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline with 3 years’ experience, or Bachelor's degree with 7 years’ experience.
- Strong math, applied statistical skills, and knowledge of machine learning methods.
- Proficiency in data wrangling and handling diverse data input sources.
- 5+ years of experience in application development (Python/R, SQL, or Java).
- 3 years of experience in Python for data processing and analysis.
- 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience in developing best practices for data model component design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and business sense.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
These Additional Qualifications Would Be Advantageous:
- Knowledge of ETL processes using SQL and analytical tools such as Azure Analytics, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with importing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from dynamic sources while ensuring data validity and reliability.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $119,800 - $263,600, influenced by factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
