Job Summary

At ResMed, our Analytics Engineering team makes invaluable data available and accessible, developing robust, efficient, and integrated data models and analytics products. These models and products support every facet of our company, aligning with ResMed’s business strategy and objectives.

Our Analytics Engineers are highly skilled in both analytics development tools and business domain particulars. This combination of technical expertise and business acumen empowers our team to identify and build scalable, impactful solutions continually.

Responsibilities

• Utilize data modeling expertise to enable other analytics practitioners through code reviews, training, and collaboration for optimal, scalable database designs and queries in Snowflake.
• Collaborate with team members to gather business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models.
• Develop and extend DBT code to enhance the Enterprise Dimensional Model.
• Craft code that adheres to our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices, and maintain these standards through code review.
• Approve data model changes during review processes and take ownership of specific database and data model schemas.
• Design and develop BI solutions that maximize impact and utility for data users and consumers.
• Build data models that minimize cognitive and technical overhead for analytical insights.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in data applications, analytics technologies, and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

• 7+ years of experience in Data & Analytics as an analyst, engineer, or equivalent.
• Proficient in designing, implementing, and extending enterprise dimensional models.
• Experience building responsive data visualizations using Tableau.
• Demonstrated experience with Snowflake or equivalent.
• Experience in Tableau administration.
• Proficiency with Analytics Engineering tools such as DBT and GitHub.
• Experience with MS SQL Stack (SSIS, Analysis Server, and Tabular Model Solutions).
• Experience building end-to-end BI solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex business activities, technical requirements, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage priorities and workflow.
• Experience developing partnerships with internal team members to deliver impactful solutions.

Preferred

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into business context and value.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Experience with Python or Pyspark jobs within Azure and AWS.
• Experience setting up serverless functions using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
• Experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes.
