Job Summary

The Vice President of Data Science & BI will report to the EVP of Technology, overseeing Platforms, Applications, and Services that achieve the vision of a “Connected Enterprise.” This role requires a passion for “All Things Data” and expertise in driving digital transformation by providing accurate data and actionable insights “Reliably.” You will craft the vision and strategy for data management, integration, innovation, and analytics support across all business functions. Responsibilities include the evolution of underlying technology platforms, tool and technology identification, and data governance to foster innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-performing Data Science, Engineering, and BI team supporting data integration and business insights across various systems.
• Build an Enterprise Data Strategy to drive marketplace differentiation through strategic insights, experimentation, and “Connecting The Enterprise.”
• Expand the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to enhance Coach and Client Experience and Operational Efficiency.
• Lead the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) to facilitate effective data sourcing, warehousing, and distribution.
• Oversee the Business Intelligence team, collaborating with business stakeholders to implement key use cases that leverage data as an enterprise asset.
• Utilize a scalable staffing model employing onsite, near-shore, offshore resources to ensure skilled resource availability while optimizing costs.
• Lead the Master Data Management (MDM) platform, working with Data Owners and Stewards to curate a robust data foundation.
• Develop and implement an Enterprise Data Architecture to support international expansion.
• Collaborate closely with other Tech functions, including Information Security, Infrastructure, Delivery Management, Enterprise Tech, and Digital Engineering.
• Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders to drive aligned business results.
• Exhibit knowledge of business operations and stakeholder needs in Direct Selling Consumer Goods environments.
• Manage, mentor, and lead high-performing global teams in line with organizational policies and values.

Scope

This role involves multiple Director-level direct reports and team members across various locations and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or a related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in Software Development/Technology.
• 10+ years of experience with tools/platforms such as AWS, Mulesoft, Informatica ETL, Redshift, Apache Spark, Python, R, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Neo4j, Tableau, Dataiku, etc.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing/implementing ML/AI models and delivering ROI.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Data Engineering.
• 7+ years of leading Technology/Engineering teams.
• 3+ years of leading Technology teams with Director-level direct reports.
• Data Modeling and Data Governance experience is a plus.
• Proven success in agile delivery environments.
• Expertise in identifying opportunities and assisting with ROI/business case development.
