Job Description

  • Working in the Operations team, investigating potential matches resulting from the screening of client data against PEP, sanctions, and adverse media watchlists
  • Using public source data to finalize investigations and resolve matches, and recording conclusions in a clear and concise way
  • If new risks are discovered during the investigation, taking the necessary measures to mitigate those risks in conformity with our AML framework (for instance, arranging for enhanced due diligence or management approval before the case is accepted)
  • Communicating with operational colleagues to acquire further information required to resolve complex cases, or to obtain approval from senior management/Compliance
  • Generating regular reports on the screening procedure
  • Helping Compliance and operational colleagues with AML/KYC inquiries, as needed
  • Contributing to Compliance-led financial crime project work, when required
  • Implementing training quarterly modules to staff and generate relevant reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the industry with AML processes, especially PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening
  • Innovative approach to investigation using a variety of online resources
  • Experience with World-Check screening tool or similar is essential
  • Good understanding of legal entities (like, trusts, corporations) and their structure and control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Word and Excel
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent detail-oriented and good at recordkeeping
