Our AI Cloud Services are public cloud solutions powered by Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to meet enterprise modernization needs. These services are ready to use out of the box and can be customized for specific customers or domains, enhancing existing OCI services.

Your Role

As an Applied Scientist 3, you will:

• Design and implement advanced computer vision algorithms and models using deep learning techniques like CNNs and Transformers.
• Conduct research to identify new innovative deep learning-based computer vision approaches.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and devise strategic solutions.
• Work with data engineers to gather and curate high-quality datasets for training and validation.
• Lead a team of researchers and engineers, providing mentorship and technical expertise.
• Contribute to patent submissions and publish research in tier-1 conferences and journals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s degree in computer science, AI, machine learning, operations research, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years for Ph.D. or 8+ years for Master’s in designing and implementing machine learning models in production.
• Extensive experience in computer vision tasks like image classification, object detection and segmentation, image captioning, etc.
• Experience with CNN/Transformer architectures, Foundation Models, and Large Vision Models for vision tasks.
• Knowledge of algorithms for semi/self-supervised learning in computer vision applications.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, and programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to learn new technologies and techniques.
• Experience with publication in tier-1 conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV, and Cloud Native Frameworks is a plus.
