WWC Global is seeking a Data Scientist to serve on a potential project supporting CENTCOM in their data integration efforts. This position will be located on-site at MacDill AFB, FL.
The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing R and Python to create analytical solutions that integrate with Microsoft applications like Excel, SharePoint, Access, and Word to support Joint Planning Modernization and assessments.
- Creating data management tools for statistical or predictive analysis.
- Developing tools and reports to assist users with data access and analysis.
- Designing and managing DCMP, tools, methods, and processes for data collection.
- Utilizing, modifying, and tailoring client tools such as C2IE, Advana, Maven Smart Systems, Onebrief, or other joint planning software.
- Verifying data for accuracy to ensure accurate analysis results and using a wide variety of data-mining techniques to generate precise datasets.
- Identifying issues, conducting research, developing analysis design, conducting data collection and analysis, examining underlying relationships, formulating mathematical expressions, constructing analytical models, deriving conclusions, providing operational insights, and preparing reports to describe and justify the results.
- Developing and supporting new analytics capabilities as requirements evolve within the command.
- Working on complex, ambiguous problems using unconventional approaches or the application and adaptation of innovative analytical techniques.
- Leading from project inception to completion for highly complex programs.
- Identifying ill-structured or broadly stated problems and providing technical expertise regarding their validity and assessment criteria.
- Coordinating with operational technical experts; regularly liaising with HQ staff and DOD partners, Joint, Interagency, Coalition, and NATO, supporting assessments conducted by those partners.
This position is contingent on a contract award.
Work Environment:
- Business office with moderate noise (i.e., computers, phone, printers) and or occasional loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Physical Demands: While performing job responsibilities, the employee will be required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
Travel: Minimal travel expected related to offsites, meetings, training, conferences.
