About the Role

In this role as a Clinical Research Scientist II, you will provide medical therapeutic and clinical research expertise to our Clinical Affairs team and other cross-functional teams within the Endoscopy Business Unit. You will assist in medical analysis, medical authorship, and multilevel data interpretation for quality, regulatory, clinical, and product development processes and business strategies both internally and externally.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Authoring and reviewing clinical research protocols and documentation (Informed Consent Forms, Case Report Forms, Investigator Brochures) and clinical study reports for internal and external studies.
  • Supporting enrollment projections and developing recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Collaborating on the review, analysis, and interpretation of study results.
  • Providing scientific review of statistical analysis plans and protocol data in development.
  • Participating in protocol data reviews, query resolution, and study conduct oversight.
  • Supporting regulatory activities and preparing responses to regulatory authorities.
  • Conducting exploratory analyses of medical data in collaboration with various teams.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing protocol documents with internal teams and clinical sites.
  • Supporting the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Ensuring compliant execution of clinical studies and identifying solutions for study vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or healthcare related field; Masters/PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical or medical research experience.
  • Understanding of medical science and clinical therapies.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to review and synthesize medical literature.
  • Experience with clinical trials, including IDE or feasibility studies, is strongly desired.
