Join our innovative GDI&A C360 CX team as a Data Engineer. You will take charge of designing and modernizing big data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes integrating GCP's native services and third-party data technologies, as well as crafting new data products within GCP. Ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive skill set across these areas and display proficiency in designing and implementing the right solutions using a mix of GCP and third-party technologies.

What You'll Do

As part of our dynamic team, you'll:

• Collaborate on projects from conception through to operations, offering your deep technical expertise for successful Data Platform deployments.
• Implement methods for pipeline automation to minimize development and production efforts.
• Develop, evaluate, and present Proof of Concepts to validate solutions.
• Compare solutions, assess their performance, and recommend the best option.
• Design and implement data engineering solutions in production using Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery, DataFlow, Pub/Sub, and more.
• Migrate existing big data pipelines to GCP and build new data products.

We value candidates who view cloud technology as an operational solution rather than just a hosting platform, have a firm grasp on data architectures and designs independent of the technology used, and possess exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. Familiarity with Python, Shell Script, and practical experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodologies is preferred.

Your Qualifications

You'll need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of deep expertise in Java/Python.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in data warehousing and big data ecosystems like Hive (Hql) & Oozie Scheduler.
• Proven experience in deploying Google Cloud services using Terraform.

Even better if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in GCP-based big data deployments.
• 2+ years in data engineering pipelines/building data warehouse systems with a strong understanding of ETL principles and SQL queries.
