Job Description

IFS’s strategy for sustainability is centered on excelling in our core business, assisting our customers in reaching their sustainability targets, and generating a broader positive influence in the communities we operate. The success of this strategy hinges on comprehensive data management encompassing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. This data is vital for both internal performance evaluation and external revelations, including our Sustainability Reports and website.

Your role will involve data analyses and data management related to sustainability. This is an integral part of maintaining transparency and delivering accurate, trustworthy data to our stakeholders, including customers, analysts, stockholders, and employees. You will also contribute to elevating our ESG data maturity to comply with regulatory standards, including audits when necessary. The role involves regular coordination with the Global Director of Sustainability (ESG) and the central Sustainability team.

To excel in this role, you should be proficient in managing complex, multi-faceted programs, and liaising with local teams, partners, and suppliers worldwide to achieve our objectives.

Successful candidates will be based in Sri Lanka.

You will be reporting to the Global HR Controller

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Taking a leading role in managing IFS’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data
  • Developing and implementing a roadmap for enhancing ESG data maturity, including automation and integration across existing systems.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders on operational controls and governance. Enhancing the capacity of IFS sustainability leaders & business partners through training, support materials, and consistent, effective dialogue.
  • Constantly tracking data availability, inputs, quality assurance, and relevance to the overall ESG strategy
  • Delivering data reporting against targets on a quarterly basis to ESG SteerCo and as required by the Sustainability team.
  • Supporting in external and internal audit requirements where ESG data is reviewed, including for year-end reporting.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Familiarity with ESG data and associated Sustainability requirements or frameworks, including GRI, TCFD, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, Gender Pay Gap reporting.
  • Experience in generating and managing externally assured data.
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially across various functions and levels of the business to achieve results.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships remotely, identify, and expand new partnerships.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a relevant field. A Master's degree is desirable.
  • Prior experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, with a focus on HR data analysis.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools like Excel and Power BI or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills adept at converting complex data into simple, actionable insights.
  • A foundation in statistical techniques and data mining methodologies.
  • Superb communication skills to effectively convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • An eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving through data analysis.
