You will join the SME Master Data squad within the division, focusing primarily on developing and managing a comprehensive data warehouse sourced from various external data providers.

Role Description: Data Engineer – Data Enrichment

As a Data Engineer dedicated to data enrichment, your role is crucial to the success of enhancing our cloud-based data platform with critical external data pertinent to our business operations. With a new team at your side, you will be instrumental in architecting and maintaining the data bank and master database, ensuring seamless data integration and usability aligned with business strategies.

Your responsibilities include designing robust data architectures, maintaining databases, identifying key data sources, consolidating datasets, and implementing data pipelines. You will leverage tools like Azure Databricks, python, and various scraping libraries and REST APIs to achieve these objectives. Occasionally, you may also need to develop user interfaces or edit data, with support readily available from your team.

From a business perspective, your engagement with stakeholders will enhance our platform's visibility and functionality. You will have opportunities to review and refine internal processes to boost operational efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering and master data management.
• Proven expertise in developing ETL processes and in-depth experience with data consolidation and modeling.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and web scraping techniques.
• A strong desire to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Experience with big data management and public cloud architectures like Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry and Japanese communication skills (JLPI N2 level) will be advantageous.
