Role Purpose:

Are you ready to spearhead innovative data solutions and impact business outcomes directly? As a Senior Manager of Data Engineering at Jumio, you will guide the evolution of our data ecosystem, ensure the development of efficient data frameworks, and foster the adoption of best industry practices in DevOps and CI/CD methodologies. This fully remote role offers the unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data storage and retrieval, and enhancing data analysis and reporting capabilities across a hybrid cloud environment.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve our data products and migrate native cloud data solutions.

Example Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and enhance the efficiency of data inflows and data quality.
  • Optimize data processing and storage procedures within our Data Warehouse.
  • Implement policies and best practices for development and production environments.
  • Drive automation through continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.
  • Collaborate with Data Quality specialists to establish robust data quality rules.

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in dataset management and code standard implementations.
  • Extensive experience in SQL optimization, Python, PySpark, Scala, and other programming languages.
  • Proficiency with big data platforms (e.g., HDFS, Spark, Hive) and familiarity with Jenkins, Unix shell scripting.
  • At least 4 years of cloud data engineering experience with platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Desirable Experience:

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and machine learning tools is highly advantageous. Knowledge of the fintech and online identity verification sectors will be beneficial.
