About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our Data Engineering team. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to develop robust data architectures that enhance decision-making and strategic investments. As a Data Engineering Leader, your contributions will foster company growth and enhance user satisfaction. You will interact with leading industry professionals, manage one of the world’s most significant data sets, and employ cutting-edge technology to see your efforts continuously influence our products and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision for BI and Data Warehousing within a specific product vertical.
• Design and execute a robust data strategy, addressing operational excellence and system reliability.
• Scale and manage a high-performing BI and Data Warehousing team.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Initiate the design and deployment of innovative data models and pipelines in a production environment.
• Enhance data quality and manage impactful data visualizations and dashboard deliveries.
• Set and oversee SLAs for all running data sets and processes in production.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven experience in scaling and managing teams with 6+ members.
• Over 9 years of experience in BI and Data Warehousing.
• Strong foundation in project management and data architecture.
• Proficient in SQL or similar database languages; experience in object-oriented programming (Python, Java, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in a consumer web or mobile environment.
• Familiarity with massive data sets, Hadoop, and advanced data visualization tools.
• Advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $206,000 to $281,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Specific pay will be set based on experience, qualifications, and location.
