Adyen is seeking a Data Scientist to become a part of our Operations AI team in Madrid. This team is integrated into Adyen's Data Solution strategy to augment operations efficiency and enhance customer experience through AI and automation. Operations AI is a recent team based in Madrid; we’re recruiting pioneers possessing an entrepreneurial mindset to innovate, experiment, and create something absolutely new from scratch.
Are you passionate about open-source Python libraries like HuggingFace and Langchain? Are you captivated by the potential of models like Falcon, Llama, Dolly, and the capabilities of GPT-4 with OpenAI API? Then, this opportunity is precisely what you've been searching for.
Within our team, you'll address innovative, high-impact business use cases. These include developing case routing for support tickets to accurately pair support agents with issues using machine learning classifiers and NLP. You'll also be involved with Question-Answering retrieval from an internal knowledge base of documents, text summarization, and sentiment analysis.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with the team to construct machine learning models or fine-tune LLMs for downstream tasks like ticket routing (text classification), sentiment analysis, and question-answer retrieval, mostly employing open-source technology and libraries.
- Ensure efficient data preprocessing and ETL pipelines to create features that feed machine learning algorithms during training.
- Set up experiments to modify modeling decisions, conduct exploratory analysis, tune hyperparameters, or verify hypothesis selection for the appropriate metric set for each business problem. Report metrics and monitor performance to keep stakeholders informed and guarantee a seamless model deployment in production.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in NLP and LLMs and incorporate relevant findings into our system.
Who you are:
- You possess 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, training, and deploying machine learning models, particularly in the Natural Language Processing domain.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including a deep understanding of statistical modeling, and proficiency with Python development tools and libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Pytest, PySpark, SQL, Airflow, MLflow, HuggingFace Transformers, Tensorflow, or Pytorch.
- Proficiency with version control systems (for instance, Git) and collaboration tools.
- You adhere to the best coding practices, including code reusability, documentation, and testing.
- An analytical thinker adept at understanding operational needs and translating them into actionable ML solutions.
- A proactive leader in projects, from conceptualization to deployment, while ensuring stakeholder collaboration.
- We appreciate a forward-thinking mindset driven by experimentation and iterative development. A strong foundation in statistics and mathematics will be beneficial in this role.
- Experience or some exposure to LLMs, either using Open AI API or Open Source models and frameworks like Huggingface, Langchain, Llama-2, Falcon, Dolly, etc., is a plus.
