About the Role: Data Scientist/Sr Data Scientist

Repsol is seeking a skilled Data Scientist for our Data & Analytics HUB as part of our ambitious Digital Transformation plan.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven business solutions.
• Analyze company databases to optimize product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
• Evaluate new data sources and collection methods.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms for various datasets.
• Utilize predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences, revenue generation, and ad targeting.
• Develop and test the company's A/B testing framework and model quality.
• Coordinate with functional teams to implement and monitor models.
• Create tools for monitoring and analyzing model performance and data accuracy.

Requirements

• Proficiency in statistical programming languages (R, Python, SQL).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision trees, neural networks).
• Strong understanding of advanced statistical methods (regression, distributions, statistical tests).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team coordination.
• Desire to learn and master new technologies.
• 5-7 years of experience and a Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with statistical and data mining techniques, such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, and text mining.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical tools like SQL, SAS, R, Python, TensorFlow.
• Experience with advanced machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools like Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot.
