Position Summary:

At the core of SparkCognition’s groundbreaking work, the Renewable Suite is a leading SaaS platform equipped with AI capabilities. It delivers asset performance management and prescriptive analytics software to an expanding array of renewable energy power plants. By leveraging advanced machine learning, vast datasets, and profound domain expertise, our platform offers invaluable insights across diversified assets like wind, solar, and storage solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate intensively with a team passionate about clean energy and equipped with deep technical acumen.

Your role will involve:

  • Integrating large datasets from diverse renewable sources into the cloud.
  • Developing and enhancing our Asset Performance Management and Predictive Analytics platforms for renewable energy.
  • Designing scalable data ETL, MLOps pipelines, and managing data workflows and ingestion processes.
  • Collaborating with the delivery engineering team to ensure a seamless transition with comprehensive documentation of processes and customer workflows.

What you need to succeed:

  • A Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and models such as regression analysis, time series, probabilistic models, supervised classification, and unsupervised learning.
  • Proficiency in Python and R, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and sci-kit-learn.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in continuously learning new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
  • An enthusiastic, proactive attitude, and a commitment to making a tangible impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with renewable energy or IoT time-series data.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud-native technologies.
