Why this role matters: As a Senior Data Analyst, your job will support us on our journey towards becoming a modern, self-serve analytics organization. You'll be given autonomy and control over significant aspects of how we interact with users, how they're trained, and defining the boundary between "let me show you how to do this yourself" and "let me do this for you". Over the last couple of years, we've significantly invested in our data infrastructure and data processing platform. These have improved our internal team processes, but there's still opportunity for improving self-service capabilities and using advanced analytics techniques for predicting future trends rather than analyzing past events. Where you will work: Fully Remote Worker - You will be based at home in the USA instead of in a designated Vonage Office and you will work 100% of the time from home. What you will do: - Collaborate closely with Info Sec teams to upgrade their report suite and transition to a self-service reporting environment for increased efficiency and cost savings. - Use data mining techniques to analyze key KPIs, generating insights to achieve and improve target goals. - Be our liaison and ambassador to the InfoSec team, advocating for self-service data analytics and maintaining relationships with power users. - Be responsible for coordinating our user-facing "Data Academy" education scheme to ensure that users can utilize data and reporting to maximum effect. - Collaborate closely with the rest of the BI & Data team to ensure the data engineering work aligns well with stakeholder needs. - Work on scaling analytics by empowering our users to perform their tasks independently through a self-service analytics environment. What you will bring: Required: - Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science) and 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role (preferably in a SaaS business) - MBA or Master’s Degree (preferably in Financial Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science) - Experience working independently with a wide range of stakeholders, from other analysts to senior management. - Advanced knowledge of analytical, statistical techniques, attribution results, forecasting, simulation and data optimization. - Strong technical abilities with SQL, data warehouses, ETL processes, and data integration tools (Python, R coding familiarity is a plus) - Proficiency in Tableau or other BI Tools. Desirable: - Experience driving self-service analytics adoption in a scalable way. - Experience working in an agile environment and establishing structure when there was none before.
