Role Mission

As part of this rapidly growing fintech, you will join one of Baubap's teams and work in collaboration within a multidisciplinary group, all working towards a common business goal. Your role as a Senior Data Scientist at Baubap involves implementing the company's data strategy, delivering tangible results that align with Baubap's mission. In this role, you'll closely work with business and operational units, identifying problems, proposing data- and Machine Learning-driven solutions, and effectively measuring and communicating the impact of Machine Learning models on our business.

Outcomes

Continuous analysis of business metrics.
Researching, improving and integrating new ML models into production for new project lines.
Keeping track of ML algorithms' results.
Maintaining datasets for algorithm retraining.

Day to Day

Meet with team members and team leaders to understand and translate business problems.
Propose, develop, monitor, and deploy in production Machine Learning solutions for these business problems.
Communicate complex technical results to a non-technical audience, and suggest different paths towards progress.
Quantify the impact of our machine learning solutions on the business.
Liaise with Data Engineers to facilitate access to new data sources, and deploy in production the outcome of machine learning models.
Design experiments, test hypotheses and build data-driven models to assist product managers in making better decisions.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

Proficiency in Python.
Proficiency in MySQL.
Experience with the complete Machine Learning Pipeline (Feature engineering, ML model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring).

Good to have

Experience in the fintech industry.
Experience in a startup environment.
