About the Role:

As a Staff Data Scientist specializing in Personalization, you'll join our dynamic Data team to develop advanced machine learning solutions. These include personalization, ranking models, and retailer-specific embeddings to enhance retail exploration experiences. You will closely collaborate with your manager and product manager to shape the team's roadmap and technical vision. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to mentor other team members and to be at the forefront of personalized retail innovations.

Your new role includes:

• Building machine learning-powered retrieval solutions and ranking models.
• Enhancing personalization and recommendation algorithms for our marketplace.
• Innovating at scale to support local retailers and independent brands.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• At least 5+ years industry experience applying machine learning to solve impactful problems.
• Experience in developing recommendation or personalization systems.
• Proficient programming skills and familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, these qualifications would be a plus:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
• Experience with graph neural networks, language models, or deep learning techniques.

Salary & Benefits:

Staff Data Scientist positions in California/New York offer a salary range of $209,500 to $288,000 annually, while positions in Colorado/Washington/New Jersey range from $189,000 to $259,500. In addition to competitive salaries, roles are eligible for equity and comprehensive benefits.
