Your Impact
In this role as a Senior Workers' Comp Claims Examiner, you will be instrumental in efficiently managing complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions. Your expertise will aid in refining our operational excellence, enhancing claims strategies, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in supporting our growth and innovation within the insurance landscape.
Responsibilities
- Analyze workers’ compensation claims and provide expert recommendations.
- Collaborate with our AI development team to enhance AI software capabilities.
- Use specialized tools to examine claims and suggest optimal actions.
- Educate the AI system on the nuances and complexities of claims.
- Ensure AI software maintains high standards of accuracy and ethical considerations.
- Stay updated on workers’ compensation regulations to ensure compliance and relevant AI training.
Required Experience
- 15-20+ years of experience as a workers' compensation claims examiner with a top 100 US Carrier or TPA.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets for proper labeling and documentation.
- Availability to commit 20-25 hours per week, with flexible working hours.
- Serve as a Workers' Comp Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the executive team.
- Skilled in using diverse software and technology tools for claims management; knowledge of Guidewire solutions is a plus.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret complex claim details.
Compensation & Perks
This long-term contract role requires a commitment of 20-25 hours weekly, with the potential for increased hours based on business needs. The targeted pay rate is $47/hr, with flexibility.
