Position Summary: Senior ML Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to develop scalable multimodal ML models (language and vision), deploy ML solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to our technical roadmap. The successful candidate will convert business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring our solutions align with performance, computational, and business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, refine, and evaluate the latest LLMs, large vision models, and multimodal methodologies.
• Clearly present experiment results, covering standard metrics and business goals.
• Deploy solutions iteratively, transitioning from POC to MVP to full-scale production.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for language, vision, or multimodal solutions.
• Mentor and support other ML engineers and researchers.
• Prioritize rapid deployment to ensure new products or features reach millions of users quickly.
• Write well-structured, maintainable, and documented code, including comprehensive tests.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture, and design sessions, staying updated on recent technological developments.
• Contribute technical insights to the research and engineering roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Self-driven, thoughtful, and conscientious individual.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in ML.
• Proven track record in the full modeling lifecycle: building, evaluating, debugging, and productionizing large ML models.
• Experienced in fine-tuning and deploying LLMs and large vision models.
• Familiar with generative vision and language models.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals like bias-variance tradeoffs, loss functions, and evaluation metrics.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong grasp of ML-related mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, matrix calculus).
• Experience in software engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
• Capability to work with ML DevOps engineers to integrate solutions into our infrastructure, automating observability, deployment, quality, and security practices.
