As a member of our platform development team, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations with various trading venues, bookmakers, and data feeds. Our distributed platform is low latency, handling substantial real-money trading activity and processing thousands of messages per second while executing complex analyses and event-driven trading decisions.

This role is fully remote, though we do have a hybrid team in the UK who work together one day per week in London. We aim to automate extensively, minimizing on-call work. When on-call duties arise (e.g., during significant events like the World Cup), they are compensated at a multiple of your regular rate.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop API integrations and website scrapers connecting to external trading venues, bookmakers, and data sources using Golang.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and robust code.
- Contribute to discussions on future and existing architecture.
- Collaborate directly with product owners to shape project direction.
Hiring Process

- Web scraping challenge (1-1.5 hours).
- Call with our CTO to discuss the role and answer your questions (30 mins).
- Interview with our platform team (1 hour).
- One-day paid work trial (8 hours).
Requirements
We seek candidates with a strong software engineering background and broad experience in high-performance computing topics such as multi-threading, networking, and web technologies. Whether you're a Junior or Senior engineer, if you are excited by this role, we encourage you to apply!
- Strong academic record with a degree in a computing or mathematical field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics).
- Professional experience in systems languages (Java, C++, C#, Go, etc.), ideally with Golang.
- Knowledge of web and web scraping technologies, including understanding browser data processes.
- Experience with modern application architectures around databases and messaging systems.
- Skilled in distributed systems, test frameworks, continuous integration, monitoring, and debugging highly available components.
- Comfortable navigating the software stack as necessary to troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in Linux platforms and knowledge of scripting languages.
- A commitment to engineering excellence and best practices.
- Systematic, analytical approach to problem-solving and solution design.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in a remote work environment.

Benefits
