Job Overview

Lucidya is in search of a skilled and experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. This remote position will focus on manual testing to ensure the highest product quality. As a QA Engineer at Lucidya, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans, debugging, and defining corrective actions. Your role will also involve reviewing system requirements and monitoring quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a passion for delivering end-to-end solutions to software quality challenges. You will play a crucial role in our product development process, conducting tests before product launches to guarantee smooth software performance that meets client needs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and define the scope of testing
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and strategy documents
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Support the team in understanding project scope and resolve complex technical issues
• Monitor team members' progress
• Develop and apply testing processes to meet client needs for new and existing products
• Liaise with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to determine system requirements
• Monitor the debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Test Execution
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong career interest and background in software quality assurance
• In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Understanding of the Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience in API testing with various tools, paired with a solid understanding of web protocols and data formats
