Role Overview

At Tech Brew, we narrate stories about how companies invest in, utilize, and create technologies to advance their business and innovation goals. From ambitious AI projects to the electric transition, we capture the what, how, and why of technology in business.

We're seeking a dedicated reporter to dive deep into tech strategies of major companies, profile key players in the business-tech space, and unveil high-stakes decisions and their ramifications for our professional audience.

Although Morning Brew is headquartered in New York City, this role is remote-friendly for candidates based in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Pitch, report, and write compelling stories for Tech Brew's website and newsletter.
• Generate and develop ideas for editorial content, including enterprise pieces and evergreen articles.
• Conduct extensive research to support in-depth stories and long-term projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of journalism experience, preferably covering tech and business sectors.
• Strong interest and expertise in business writing and reporting.
• Proficiency in the Morning Brew style (engaging, informative, and clever).
• Ability to analyze and conclude from structured and unstructured data.
• Skill in leveraging multiple platforms (email, social media) to engage the target audience.
• Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinking combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Resilience to operate under high-pressure scenarios and tight deadlines.

Compensation

Salary: $75,000-$80,000

Final offers will be made within this salary range and will consider experience. The total offer package includes additional benefits as highlighted in our perks section.
