Internship Opportunities

This summer, step into the heart of innovation with one of our two dynamic internship projects:

Project 1: Dive into AI with our project aimed at developing an AI-based information retrieval system. You'll work on prototyping a machine learning solution using LLMs/NLP to enhance the abstraction and synthesis of medical data from varied sources like pathology and radiology notes.

Project 2: Enhance your skills in Causal Inference by working with our prospectively acquired patient-level data. You'll focus on developing methodologies and technologies to analyze treatment effects and cohort data within the community oncology setting.

Interns will concentrate on one of the aforementioned projects, using their excellent computational skills and familiarity with diverse computing environments to drive progress.

Program Details

The 8-week internship requires a commitment of 28-40 hours per week. This hybrid role requires presence in the Bay Area, catering to both on-site and remote work arrangements.

Educational Qualifications & Skills

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an MS/MA or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and possess:

• Deep knowledge and experience in Machine Learning & AI, particularly in areas such as LLMs/NLP, Computer Vision, Causal Analysis, Survival Analysis, and more.
• Documented experience relevant to the chosen project area, evident from publications, project presentations, or similar achievements.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and/or R.
• A results-oriented approach with impeccable communication and interpersonal skills.
• A profile that embodies our core values of generosity, curiosity, and humility.

Compensation & Benefits

Interns will be compensated with an hourly wage ranging from $52.00 to $65.00, based on experience and qualifications. At N-Power Medicine, we offer competitive industry benefits, a flexible work environment, a 401K plan, and additional company perks.
