What you'll do

Role: AI Data Scientist

As an AI Data Scientist at SAP, you will:

• Conduct applied research and develop new technologies as part of the AI development team, following detailed project specifications.
• Join our global IT business technology team to tackle complex, large-scale projects using your creativity and deep professional expertise.
• Create, implement, and test advanced AI-driven systems to address business challenges.
• Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of AI and Machine Learning techniques, encompassing model architecture, pipeline automation, and metrics interpretation.
• Develop and validate ML use cases through proof-of-concepts with Large Language Models in conjunction with SAP AI Business Technology Platform.
• Collaborate with fellow AI Scientists and AI Developers to share knowledge, best practices, and explore potential patent opportunities.

What you bring

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Artificial Intelligence or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally within business application software companies.
• Expertise in generative AI models, frameworks, and tools, with solid skills in prompt engineering and tuning techniques.
• Proficiency in Deep Learning, familiar with software like Scikit-learn, GP Transformers, TensorFlow, etc.
• Strong programming ability in languages such as Python, C++, and Scala.
• Prior experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
• Exceptional communication and writing skills in English.
