Job Summary

As an Algorithm Engineer, you will perform project design tasks and contribute to critical projects. Your knowledge in physics and engineering principles will be essential. You will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in various segments of larger projects, and integrate designs within an overarching framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze images for threat detection applications using original and creative approaches.
• Work alongside the development team to analyze data and build classification models.
• Take the lead on smaller sections of projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule.
• Plan and conduct research, design, development, and engineering for assigned projects, both independently and under team supervision.
• Review progress and outcomes of engineering projects, making necessary adjustments to methods, design, or equipment.
• Present project results to program and project management teams.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Python or Matlab for data analysis and scripting to handle complex image data.
• Competence in Linux environments.
• Experience in software programming with C, C++, and Java (a plus).
• Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms (a plus).

Education and Experience Requirements

BS in Physics or related field with 3 or more years of relevant experience,
OR
MS in Physics or similar field with at least 1 year of experience.
