About the Role

As a Apprentice Data Scientist at Yorkshire Water, you will integrate into our Analytics & Data Science Team, aiding in our mission to deliver outstanding water services across Yorkshire. This apprentice position is pivotal, offering hands-on experience in managing and analyzing extensive datasets, developing solutions using Machine Learning, Cloud platforms, and AI, and crafting impactful data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transform and analyze complex data sets.
• Develop and deploy Data Science solutions incorporating Machine Learning and AI.
• Create and present compelling data visualizations and reports.
• Provide training and technical support to enhance data utilization across teams.

What We Require

Ideal candidates should have a solid academic foundation with:

• 5 GCSEs, Grades 4-9 (A-C), including English and Mathematics.
• 3 A-levels, Grades A-C, preferably including Mathematics.
• Experience in data handling, which could be from work experience, school, or hobbies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in data-driven projects.

Additional qualifications that will be advantageous:

• A Level 2 or above qualification in IT.
• Full UK driving licence for easy commute to our head office, or the ability to travel daily to Buttershaw, Bradford.

Recruitment Process
