Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Teaching Assistant - The Ohio State University (Remote)

The Opportunity

2U is on the lookout for a passionate Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence professional dedicated to making a difference. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, including working professionals and recent college graduates eager to transition into AI careers. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our students' lives.

This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity.

What You Will Do

• Create an engaging, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical individuals
• Bring the learning experience to life by sharing your industry expertise
• Infuse empathy, support, encouragement, and fun into the learning process
• Assist the instructor with class time management
• Observe class activities and projects to assist students via Zoom
• Research and respond to student queries
• Grade homework and group project assignments when applicable

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience in machine learning and/or artificial intelligence
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
• A laptop, camera, and reliable internet access are essential
• An additional monitor, microphone/headset are highly recommended

Familiarity with:

• Python
• Machine Learning (Unsupervised and Supervised Learning)
• Natural Language Processing
• Deep Learning and Neural Networks
• Linear Regression
• Transformers
• AI applications

Logistics

The position involves a 24-week program with part-time commitment. The schedule is either M/T/TH or M/W/TH, from 5:45pm to 10pm EST, including office hours and breaks. Classes are conducted live online.

Compensation

The anticipated hourly salary for this role is $20/hr. The final compensation may consider factors such as the geographic location of the work and the candidate's prior experience.
