Position Summary:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Asset Data Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. This vital role involves managing and analyzing significant asset data to boost our efficiency and effectiveness in water and wastewater management. A successful candidate will demonstrate solid skills in data management, analysis, visualization, and comprehensive asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately collect, validate, and maintain asset data from diverse sources.
  • Develop robust data models and databases for asset management and strategic decision-making.
  • Create compelling and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to determine data requirements and offer analytical support.
  • Analyze data to pinpoint trends, detect anomalies, and uncover opportunities for asset optimization.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with data management standards and regulations.
  • Implement asset management best practices to enhance lifespan and functionality of infrastructure assets.
  • Offer technical support and training on data-related tools and procedures.
  • Manage data integration and asset management tasks using SAP and Maximo systems.

Professional Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields, or the equivalent experience in data engineering.
  • Solid experience, preferably in the water and wastewater sector, in a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python, or other data manipulation languages.
  • A thorough understanding of asset management principles.
  • Experience implementing SAP and Maximo in asset management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a stern focus on data accuracy and data quality.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with GIS and spatial data analysis.
  • Understanding of industry standards and best practices in asset management.
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics or related fields.
