Job Summary: Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst, your analytical expertise will help identify opportunities and make recommendations to enhance our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. You will develop forecasting/financial models and demand planning algorithms to boost demand predictability and S&OP plan accuracy. Collaborating with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Supply Chain Operations, your insights will drive alignment and increase process effectiveness. Your data-driven approach will empower effective decision-making, making our organization more agile, scalable, and efficient.

Success in this role requires a highly analytical, inquisitive self-starter with a deep understanding of the data storage business and configured systems. A passion for solving business problems and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets from various sources to create bookings forecast models for S&OP plans.
  • Identify critical data patterns to improve demand predictability and accuracy.
  • Run simulations to evaluate the impact of factors like pricing, technology, and capacity on product mix and volume.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Coordinate product transitions with cross-functional teams to support revenue targets and mitigate excess & obsolete inventory.
  • Facilitate and lead ML/AI capabilities implementation in forecasting.
  • Develop and report KPIs using analytical expertise.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in the S&OP plan.
  • Lead root cause identification and continuous improvement efforts in the S&OP process.
  • Provide data-driven insights for operational decision-making such as strategic spend, cost reduction, and supply chain strategy.
  • Facilitate S&OP Plan reviews with various functions.
  • Assist in optimizing supply and demand by providing demand outlook and risk assessment.
  • Lead or participate in supply chain projects from a data analytics perspective.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales & Operations Planning, Demand/Supply Planning or Supply Chain Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data-driven analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of ML/AI concepts.
  • Proficient in SQL, R, or Python/ML.
  • Experienced with data visualization/BI software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Problem solver and change agent with strong solution-proposing skills.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with SAP IBP is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in building forecasting models.
  • Experience implementing and using ML/AI and statistical models in demand planning processes.
