Position: Business Data Analyst

Providence is calling for a dedicated Business Data Analyst who will:

• Compile data from external and internal sources and correlate it for improved decision-making within Providence St Joseph Health.
• Work proficiently with large relational databases, external data extracts, and competitor intelligence data.
• Investigate issues using advanced business intelligence and visualization tools.
• Possess a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise, with a big-picture vision and the determination to achieve it.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and adaptability to new and unusual ideas.
• Handle complex assignments with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Align with the mission and philosophy of Providence St Joseph Health, promoting teamwork and mutual respect.

Remote Work Eligibility

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Management, or a related field -OR- equivalent education and work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases and business intelligence tools.
• 3+ years of experience in data gathering, analysis, and reporting for various organizational areas.
• 3+ years of experience handling complex data structures including data mining and exploration utilizing business intelligence and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, SAP, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Oracle).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the healthcare system or health insurance industry.
• 1+ years of experience with Tableau and data management/ETL software.
